What should I bring or not bring?
How long will the admission process take?
The typical admission process takes two and a half hours, but may vary when there is a high number of individuals seeking help. Bringing everything listed above and calling ahead will help things go faster.
What is the average length of stay?
Most patients can expect to stay for five to seven days, though their stay may vary depending on their needs. Ultimately, the patient’s assigned doctor will decide when a patient is ready to go home.
What insurance is accepted?
We accept a wide variety of insurances including: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Amerigroup, Medicare/ Medicaid, Humana, TX CHIP, Cigna, Aetna and many others.
Does IntraCare offer detox?
IntraCare only provides emergency detox for individuals who also have a mental health diagnosis. We are a Mental Health Facility. If you need detox, we may be able to help you find a facility that better suits that need.
Will someone contact me once my patient is ready to be discharged from the hospital?
A few days before discharge, a discharge planner will contact you to initiate the discharge process as well as set up a follow-up appointment within 7–10 days. Parental and physician assistance in planning these appointments is critical to continuing the progress a patient has made. Once the appointment has been scheduled, clinical information about the patient’s hospitalization will be faxed to the doctor’s office.
